The LLT offer automated classroom capture and rich media presentation publishing, enriching (online) teaching, learning and communications.
Lecture theatres have been fully equipped to professionally record, capture and store high value lectures.
Staff can webcast their lectures (broadcasting video, audio and slides) to a wider audience either via a live stream or providing the url upon demand/request.
How can the LLTs be used?
Live streaming opens possibilities for other ways to reach learners and a wider audience/community in remote sites and offers new models for delivering teaching and learning across campus. The LLTs are ideal for distance learning scenarios, seminars, conferences, lectures, tutorials and so on, as live broadcasts can provide access to people and resources.
Publishing options vary from live web streaming to distribution through the VLS, linking through Blackboard or a website, CD/DVD and so on, supporting integration with other systems.
